Mitchell Haight
Mitch, a defenseman from Pittsford, NY, grew up playing for youth hockey organizations in the Rochester community. In his high school hockey career, Mitch helped the Pittsford Panthers reach back-to-back NY state high school hockey frozen four appearances.
He then moved on to junior hockey where he played three years for the Boston Junior Rangers of the Eastern Hockey League, and captained the team for two years. In his final year, he was selected as a league all-star and earned First Team All-EHL honors.
Mitch earned a commitment to Elmira College of NCAA Division III where he played four years of college hockey, winning one UCHC championship and making two NCAA tournament appearances. Not only did Mitch excel on the ice, he also excelled as a student as he graduated with a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Management & Marketing with a Finance minor. Mitch was named Valedictorian for the class of 2024. Following his Elmira career, Mitch pursued a Graduate year and played a fifth and final season of college hockey at SUNY Brockport where he stepped into the new team and served as Captain for the 2024-2025 season.
Immediately following the conclusion of his collegiate hockey career, Mitch began his professional hockey career with the Quad City Storm of the SPHL.
Mitch brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to the HIRE Hockey team which he applies in his coaching methods. He is passionate about facilitating the development of young players on & off the ice to reach their full potential.
