Nick Gullo
Nick Gullo, Director of Offensive Development, is originally from Penfield, NY. Nick’s love for hockey began before he was 2. He grew up playing for his local youth travel hockey organization, the Perinton Blades. He took his talents further, playing junior A hockey for the Syracuse Stars and Buffalo Junior Sabres. From juniors, Nick went on to play four years of NCAA DIII college hockey. Two of those years were spent at SUNY Brockport and two years were at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In 2017, he made the All-Tournament Team in the WSYB Catamount Radio Invitational Tournament. While in college, Nick spent three summers working with the Nashville Predators of the NHL helping run their Learn to Skate program helping bring the game of hockey to a non-traditional southern market. Graduating cum laude from King’s College with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2019, Nick completed his college career having achieved both academic and athletic honors.
Since college, Nick has played 5 years of professional hockey between the FPHL & SPHL where he served as an assistant captain for the Vermillion County Bobcats and team captain for the Elmira Mammoth. Most recently, Nick helped bring the Motor City Rockers to the organization’s first playoff series win, making it to the division finals. While with the Rockers, Nick also received the Community Service Member of the Year award for his contributions to the local community. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning coach at Next Level, receiving his CFSC certification from industry leader Mike Boyle’s credentials program.
In addition to his professional playing career, Nick has spent countless hours giving back to the youth community of Rochester on and off the ice. He has spent the last 10 years working to help grow youth athletes into not only great hockey players, but great people as well. For the last two years, he has also served on the board of Hockey Buddies, a local charity providing hockey equipment and expenses for underprivileged families who also share the love of the game. Nick is excited to continue his growth, not only personally in his hockey career, but also in being a mentor, passing on his knowledge and life-long passion to the game’s future stars.
